New and Novelty in Contemporary Media Cultures

The author is pointing out strategies of artistic-aesthetic and more widely applicable creative practices, which she thinks can be used as interesting examples of critical interventions into contemporary media landscapes. To introduce this topic, she is briefly highlighting a few aspects of the present situation – with some reference to the past – and follows this with a discussion of aesthetic strategies in radical arts.
