Inhaltsangabe

In the paper the author analyzes a complicated relation between the Church and mass media. The first part offers a brief look at dynamic development of media over the last decades, and pays attention to the ways by means of which the Church has communicated her message. In the central part of the paper the author formulates a question why the relation between the Church and mass media is tense, full of mutual suspicions. The author considers post-modern values as the core of the problem. The values are diametrically opposed to common Christian values. Media as a part of the post-modern era, from the author’s perspective, create an alternative religion that compete with traditional beliefs.
