The article concentrates on the influence of TV programmes on the family, especially negative ones. But the family at the same time is the place of media education, and can really limit the negative influence. Under condition that first of all the family will be aware of the values which are obligatory among the family members; it is the family which will say “no”, and discuss the problems and finally it is the family which is the place of another activities besides watching television. All mistakes made in the process of bringing up the children in the family can influence their life in the future.
