Nowadays, labelling is used mainly as one of the methods of manipulation. Therefore, it seems that one cannot find any positive effects of this form of communication. Has it not, however, been appropriated by contemporary politicians and journalists to the detriment of educators? Labelling can be a carrier of values after all, both promoting them and condemning socially negative attitudes. This paper contains selected examples of the art of labelling found in Zofia Kossak’s prose.
