University Programs in Technical Communication

<p>AT THE 1972 International Technical Communication Conference the panel titled University Preparation for a Career in Technical Writing was taped. The session provided some insight into what is being done to educate young people for a technical writing career, as well as the reaction to such education from respected members of the profession. The session was chaired by Professor Pearsall. Panelists were Frederick Van Veen, Director of Corporate Relations for Teradyne, Inc., Boston; Dr. John H. Mitchell, Professor of English, University of Massachusetts, Amherst; and James M. Lufkin, Manager of Professional Publication, Honeywell, Inc., Minneapolis.</p>
