As part of a larger research project on basic writers in the workforce after college, 21 former basic writers who held postgraduate jobs were interviewed in person. This article focuses on one of the research questions of the study: how do formerly weak writers manage to write adequately for their jobs? This article recommends Writing Across the Curriculum as one means of duplicating the workplace-writing content in college writing classes.
