Inhaltsangabe

Race data of anchors and reporters were collected from a total of 125 stations from 40 randomly chosen television markets in the United States, and then compared to the race data from the population of the stations' viewership areas. Overall, the study found that the percentage of White and Black news anchors and reporters accurately reflected the percentages of Whites and Blacks living in the Designated Market Area (DMA) groupings. Hispanics and Asians weren't as well represented, and the most underrepresented group was American Indians.
