<jats:p>The subject of Ravi Chopra's 2003 Hindi film Baghban (The Gardener), Indian senior citizens, is rare on film but increasing in reality enough to warrant extended comment. We have little to go on concerning contemporary Indian seniors. Tilak and the editors of the first book, Drs. Bose and Gangrade, claim there is not yet a science of Indian gerontology, despite the evidence below.</jats:p>
