This study investigates the current state of Canadian broadcasting in a multiscreen context. Following a series of interviews with industry professionals, we present a summative evaluation of multiscreen innovations in order to assess how the latter influence current business models based on various theories of innovation relevant to the Canadian television industry. We elaborate on the coupling of a traditional medium with mobile digital screens to better understand the industry as it is today as well as the tangent it is embarking upon for the future.
|
